April Recap

What an amazing month April has been! We’ve enjoyed the beauty of blooming trees and plants, each displaying their own vibrant colors. It’s truly a season of new beginnings when growth and transformation come to life.

Just like nature, our little learners at Pacific Coast Montessori Academy are blossoming as they enter new stages of development. We feel incredibly fortunate to witness and be part of this important phase in their lives.

This month, we welcomed two new toddlers and one Pre-Primary student. They have been a wonderful addition to our learning community. We also celebrated several transitions, with children moving from Toddler to Pre-Primary and from Pre-Primary to Primary. These milestones are a meaningful reflection of their growth and readiness for new challenges.

Our growing community also welcomed a new teaching staff member, Ms. Yan Wang, an AMS Montessori educator. She has joined our Primary 6 classroom, where she will help deepen and expand the Montessori experience for our students.

April has brought renewed energy and excitement to our school. Our studies focused on Oceania, exploring its land and water forms, plants and vegetables, weather, food, culture, and people, especially Aboriginal communities. In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, students participated in activities centered on natural resources and energy conservation. We also enjoyed a special hour of outdoor learning, taking advantage of the beautiful weather and each other’s company.

One of the most exciting hands-on experiences this month has been observing the life cycle of a chicken. Our students have been eagerly watching eggs in the incubator, and we can’t wait to see them hatch!

As we approach the final two months of the academic year, we remain committed to providing meaningful and enriching learning experiences for our enthusiastic young learners. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of our families; it truly makes a difference.
